Curly Hair Care At Home Without Any Products!

Woke up to find your hair looking like a fricking beehive? An impenetrable trap of tangles and frizz? Yeah, trust us, we've all been there, felt that. No matter how much we kiss, hug or love our hair, it ends up poofing out and looking like we have constantly neglected it for five straight years. Our bathroom shelves are packed with tons and tons of hair care products, oils and serums and gels, you name it, and we have it. Two-hour prior preparation goes in only deciding which products and accessories to take for your travels, and even then, we know all the curly haired girls will relate when we say, it's not enough, it never is.
But don't worry, you've gotta take extra care of that crown on your hair ladies, no matter what it takes right!? So, we've put together a list of some home remedies and DIY masks which will moisturize, detangle and defrizz your hair, just like that! So, what are you waiting for, let's check out what all we have.

Mayonnaise

This combines all the benefits of oils, vinegar and eggs minus the awful, soul wrecking smell of yolk. Just make sure to use full fat mayonnaise to reap the whole benefits and don't go thrifty and choose a diet or eggless one. Slather your hair with a generous amount and cover it for roughly around 25-30 minutes before washing and then let it air dry. Mayonnaise transforms those lifeless, rough curls into beautiful, shiny, bouncy ringlets easily.

Avocado

It contains Vitamin B and Vitamin E which makes the hair healthy and promotes hair growth. It also contains the good kind of fat which nourishes the hair and makes it all shiny and bouncy. Also, an additional bonus, it works wonders in taming frizzy hair as well. So the process is fairly easy, mash an avocado, mix it with 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and a few drops of any of your favorite essential oils to add the wonderful scent. Keep this mask for around 30 minutes, shampoo, rinse, and let it air dry.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus flower has been known to tame the curls with natural ingredients by increasing scalp circulation and eliminating all the toxins.
Take a couple of flowers (3-4) and a few leaves and grind it with water. Apply on hair and leave for approximately 20 minutes and rinse it with lukewarm water. Again, let it air dry, that is key. Next day just shampoo your hair for bouncy, soft curls.

You can use Curlvana Curl Cleanse Shampoo for washing your hair. It is a mild shampoo that gently removes grime, sebum, and buildup from hair without damaging its natural moisture. It nourishes, defines, and shines curly hair without weighing it down.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Again, it's very easily and readily available at mostly everyone's places and is by far one of the most effective home remedies to get those baby soft, lustrous curls. ACV removes product build up and helps restore the natural balance of pH levels on the scalp.

So keep the mixture homogeneous by mixing equal parts of water and ACV. Apply it after shampooing your hair, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes at maximum and then go and rinse it again. Repeat this about twice a month to achieve those amazing baby curls you wanted to have.

Milk

As we all know, milk contains some really essential proteins including Casein and Whey which not only restore shine but also improves the hair follicle growth. Blend together 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 medium sized Banana, 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons honey into a smooth paste like consistency. Apply it on your head and either rake through your fingers or use a wide tooth comb to make sure it's evenly spread all across. Leave it for about half an hour before you finally go and rinse it off.

Beer

Yup, you read it right. Beer is known for its many nourishing properties, hydrating the hair and revitalising the curls to make it look super fresh and bouncy. Apply beer as a post shampoo ritual and again make sure it's evenly spread, and all the strands are covered with it. Thereafter, leave it on for about 5-7 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Repeat this twice a week for favourable results.

Aloe vera

Of course, it had to be on the list! Aloe vera is literally the magic touch of the gods which nourishes, hydrates, restores and replenishes body, skin, hair with all the vital elements needed.

Take fresh aloe vera gel and massage into your scalp for around 5 minutes and leave it on for another 15 minutes. Then just rinse it off with a mild shampoo and you're all set. Repeat thrice a month for maximum results.

These are some of our most favorite hacks, tell us which one you liked the best. Keep experimenting, keep shining!!
